Mallorca: natural paradise

Thanks to its climate, beaches, culture... However you look at it, Mallorca is a paradise. And the large number of natural spaces on the island make it a natural paradise. Mallorca's natural riches are one of the most repeated reasons put forward by the thousands of tourists that visit the area each year. Here are a few reasons why.

The Serra de Tramuntana

Named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Serra de Tramuntana is located in the northeast of the island and is home to its highest peaks. Villages located up in the sierra are dotted among the natural beauty of the mountainous landscape: Valldemossa, Deià, Sóller, Pollensa... idyllic little towns whose cobbled streets will captivate you. In addition to visiting the towns of Serra de Tramuntana, the best thing you can do is explore its surrounding routes on foot which will allow you to discover the incredible landscapes.

Formentor Peninsula is in the northernmost point of the Serra de Tramuntana.

Cabrera

The Cabrera Archipelago Maritime-Terrestrial National Park is not exactly in Mallorca but boat trips to visit the park depart from the southeast of the island. Visiting Cabrera is a true sensory experience as its coast comprises one of the best preserved coastlines in the entire Mediterranean region.

A Birdwatching Paradise

The migratory routes for birds that flee the cold European winter in order to head to the warm lands of Africa pass through the Balearic Islands and that makes it possible to spot an endless variety of bird species during the migratory period in Mallorca. One of the places where most species can be found is S'Albufera Natural Park in Mallorca. Its wetlands are ideal for birds and fans of ornithology. Vall de Bòquer is also an important area for birdwatching.

Mondragó Natural Park

Mondragó Natural Park is located in the southeast of Mallorca, and is one of the island's most visited parks. The paths that go around the park allow visitors to enjoy the different landscapes within, ranging from countryside and woodland to cliffs along the coast.

Mondragó Natural Park is a paradise with spectacular coves.

Llevant Peninsula

The Llevant Peninsula Natural Park is located in the northeast of the island and is home to a large variety of endemic Mallorca flora and fauna as well as spectacular beaches and unblemished coves.   There is no doubt that nature is one of the key reasons why Mallorca is a paradise.
