Although many people believe that Mallorca is a place to live and that it's only active in summer, it's wrong.
There are many reasons to spend some amazing winter months in the island. If you don't believe it now we explain it to you in 4 points:
In the months of autumn and winter is not unusual to see the snow in the Serra de Tramuntana. As it's very strange that snow at sea level, something that Mallorcan people do when it has snowed, is to go to the mountains to spend the day and enjoy white and beautiful views from the heights.
In contrast to the high density of people on the beaches of Mallorca in summer, in winter they are a fairly quiet place with little presence of people, where we can relax by listening to the sea, reading a book or going for a walk.
You may see some brave people getting into the water, no matter how cold the water is.
Throughout the week markets are held in different villages where we can find from local products, handicrafts, clothing and accessories, to fresh and natural foods.
Throughout the year different fairs are held on the island through the villages with stalls selling clothing, accessories and food items and attractions for the little ones, where we'll find lively and festive environments.
If you are a wine lover and you want to spend a pleasant afternoon in company, practice wine tourism. There are currently several wineries in Mallorca with a wine that has gained fame for its quality and the effort to improve in recent years.
It should be noted that there are currently 13 wineries in the town of Binissalem. Take a route to learn about the winemaking process while enjoying a glass of a quality local product.
