Hidden in a valley in the Serra de Tramuntana, Cala Sant Vicenç has a privileged position where the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean meet the capricious shapes of the mountains of Mallorca. Find properties for sale in Cala Sant Vicenç and enjoy the summer in this magical corner of the island.
Cala Sant Vicenç is a small quiet town in the municipality of Pollença with four small paradisiac coves (Cala Molins, Cala Clara, Cala Barques and Cala Carbó) and a great summer atmosphere.
Despite its small size "La Cala" -as the locals call it - is one of those beautiful places that you fall in love with. It never tires you, there's always new little wonderful details not previously noticed to discover, the strong force of the waves creates erosion and makes the rocks change constantly.
Although in all the coves of Cala Sant Vicenç you can enjoy the crystalline waters full of marine life, the two largest are Cala Barques and Cala Molins: both sandy beaches with parasols and sunbeds, lifeguards and pedal boats. These two coves are a walking distance of our beautiful villas for sale in Cala San Vicente.
The two smaller coves are called Cala Clara and Cala Carbó, with rock beaches, where we can find, still today, the charming old moorings which the fisherman would use to shelter their boats. These two coves are often concurred by locals and are the ones where you can enjoy the most authentic atmosphere. Cala Carbó and its landscape are a beautiful spectacle for our delight, it's the only cove that remains almost virgin, there's barely any building in the mountains surrounding it!
From the four coves and from anywhere in Cala Sant Vicenç you can see the Cavall Bernat. It's a mountainous formation whose cliffs reflect the light of the sunset, forming, with the shadows of its rocks and according to the legend that explains its name, the shape of a horse: the Cavall Bernat.
The beaches and crystal clear waters of Cala Sant Vicenç offer the opportunity to practice a multitude of water activities such as kayaking or snorkelling or some of the new sports trends like "psicobloc" (a form of solo rock climbing that relies solely upon the presence of water at the base of a climb to protect against injury from falls from the generally high-difficulty routes) or slackline (a balance sport where the person walks, runs or balances on top of a strap that is hooked between two anchor points, that can be two rocks in the case of practising the sport at the beach.)
We can't forget to mention the numerous hiking, biking and climbing routes that the mountains that embrace these caves offer.
There's a beautiful and fairly easy excursion starting in Puerto Pollença, where you can arrive walking through the mountain to Cala Carbó. A nice excuse to leave the car parked, do a little bit of sport, breathe the fresh air of the mountains and enjoy the marvellous landscape.
From Cala Sant Vicente you can easily reach the nearby towns of Pollensa, Puerto Pollensa and Alcúdia. Visit the old town of Pollensa and climb the 365 steps of the Calvari, walk along the Pine Walk in Puerto Pollensa or tour the walled enclosure in the historical old town of Alcudia.
